  • Producing a safe, high quality product is important to farmers. Most are trained in agriculture pesticide use, as well as livestock assurance programs.
  • Canada and Mexico are the two largest trading partners of the United States. They account for nearly one third of all U.S. agricultural exports.
  • Once acre of land, which is about the size of a football field can produce 810 pounds of cotton, 2,694 pounds of wheat, 31,000 pounds of oranges, 35,600 pounds of lettuce, or 46,500 pounds of strawberries.
